Collection: Summer Don't Go

Jewelry with memories of summer to keep close for the time when the colder seasons start to creep in.

During the year I often find myself longing for summer and always anticipating so much from this season as to be the magical time I will finally do everything I wanted to do, the time for resting but also full of new adventures, for better me or whatever else I feel I would experience during this particular time of the year. And before I know it, the summer is coming to an end leaving me with blurry memories of how I've spent it. It just happens so fast and it always seems to me that it must be the shortest season of the year.

That is why I wanted to create a collection of jewelry, amulets even, that will symbolically serve as a reminder of events, places and feelings experienced during the summer season and that perhaps will bring some warmth and light during the colder seasons and help one to ride out the time before the next summer comes again.

For this collection I’ve decided to work mostly with natural materials such as river pearls, shells and semi-precious stones that I found mainly in a form of vintage and second-hand jewelry, which I then deconstructed and paired it with deadstock and vintage glass beads to create new jewels. Though there are some bold pieces included in the collection, the natural and minimalistic colour palette allows them to be timeless enough to be worn during the whole year.
