Christmas Jewel No. 6

Give your home a festive look with KAARET Christmas jewels. Decorate your Christmas tree, branches in your favourite vase or dress up your whole apartment, it's up to you! Place it somewhere where the sunlight can reach it or near some Christmas lights or a candle holder so it can reflect the light - thats it's natural and favourite habitat.

The jewel is made from various glass beads and vintage brass components that will catch a little patina over time, which will enhance the "vintage" mood even more. Thanks to this material you can squeeze the hanger very easily to secure it to the tree branch.

And in case you'd have any last minute troubles with your Christmas outfit, you can just inconspicuously take it from the Christmas tree and wear it as an earring ;)

Care instructions

Since this Christmas jewel is made of glass beads and beads that are much more fragile than other materials (such as different kinds of metal, plastic, wood etc.) please take an extra care while operating with them as they can break or scratch very easily when handled without care. Please avoid any sharp or hard surfaces. 

Materials & origin

The KAARET Christmas collection is made from vintage, second hand and dead stock glass beads and buttons. The beads used in this collection have all been searched by me personally and come from different backgrounds.

Some of them I inherited after my relatives and families of their friends, where some of the beads are even 50 years+ old. Other beads come from selected second hand shops, charity shops or even dead stock inventory from vendors who have left their businesses a long time ago. And last but not least, some beads come from the factories in the north of Bohemia which are famous for the glass and beads production. They are from shops which are usually located in the fabrics and sell beads that wouldn't normally pass the standards to be placed on the market. While not always 100 % perfect, these beads are still beautiful and I am sure they don't deserve to be left alone so I decided to include them in the material I use and thus to give them a new life.

Please note that some of the beads are not 100 % perfect. Some might have a bit uneven shape, some might have a little disproportional coloring and even have a few bubbles or little scratches which you can see on the glass beads while examining it very, very closely. All this can be caused due to the origin of the beads described above.

When making each KAARET piece I always make sure to only pick the best beads I have available, but the idea of giving the second life to things that would in other circumstances just never been used is one of the core values which KAARET was built on.
